Half a million march in London



The UK Daily Mail reports that half a million people marched in London on Saturday in mass demonstrations against proposed budget cuts by Britain's Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government. Masked and hooded anarchists threw ammonia-lightbulbs and paintbombs at police officers, smashed the windows of hotels and banks, and ignited fires around the city.

Daily Mail: Union leader warns 'anything is possible when people are angry'
Britain must brace itself for a crippling series of strikes, protests and widespread civil disobedience, the leader of the country’s biggest union warned yesterday. Len McCluskey, general secretary of Unite, said the anger felt by millions of hard-working families towards the Government’s cuts ‘needs to find a release’. In a call to arms, the 60-year-old said: ‘I don’t believe that we should rule anything in or anything out.’ He said the painful impact on people’s lives of everything from unemployment to pay cuts and changes in working conditions, means many are ‘surviving, not living’.
Last week, Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi hinted that the old world order is crumbling into pieces all across the world, preparing the way for the geulah.
