Japan hit by 7.1 quake on day marking one month since tsunami

On March 11, at 2:46 p.m., Japan was hit by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake, which brought in its wake a tsunami, which killed 25,000 people and caused a yet-to-be-resolved nuclear crisis.

Today, at 2:46 p.m., on April 11th, ceremonies were held around the country to observe exactly one month since the tsunami.

Hours later, Japan was hit by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake, and a new tsunami warning was issued. Workers have been evacuated from the Fukushima plant, which was close to the quake's epicenter.
