On Thursday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. a shooting took place in the Estonian Defense Ministry in Talliinn. Police have entered the building, and additional shots were heard. Eyewitness reports claim a security guard was taken hostage.
Estonia is one of the Baltic states whose independence from Russia was formally recognized in 1991. On Tuesday S&P upgraded Estonia's international credit rating to AA, n response to strong growth figures.
